Ok, so the PowerBook has not left my possession. I have found myself unable to send it away so far - I am hoping for some progress in the next week or so. After updating the site, and finding my work assignment cancelled, I have few excuses to hold on to the Book for another week. It does need the work, but even as it is, I have become quite attached to the Apple of my thigh. Sigh.
